SRAM cranksets the boost is in the ring. Shimano it's in the crank. So it depends what your crank is.

Shimano also have several chainlines, not just boost or not boost. There will probably be a max chainring size you can run on your frame for each chainline. It’s all about chainring clearance really… any chainline will work just fine with the boost positioned freehub/cassette, as long as the chainring easily clears the frame.

Jusat becuase you have boost axle spacing, doesnt necessarily mean that you have to use a boost crankset.

Both my bikes are boost spacing, but I'm running non-boost cranks. The non-boost potentially gives you a better chainline. But on some bikes, a non-boost crank might cause the chainring to hit the chainstay (or get too close to it, and contact if it flexes). I run 30t or 32t chainrings so it works fine. Not sure if I'd get away with a 34t though.
