As above - anyone run Bontrager tubeless tyres on Crossmax rims?

If so do they inflate ok with just a track pump?

Only asking as potentially buying some crossmax SL and like running the Bonty's tubeless as are light tyres, currently running them on Bontrager race rims so obviously work perfectly!

All the best,

Colwyn.

It took me a CO2 cartridge to seat a "Tubeless Ready" Bontrager Mud X onto a Mavic 819 rim (which is a full UST rim like Crossmaxes). Was the first new and undamaged tyre I've failed to inflate with a track pump for a while, been using Maxxis, Hutchinson and Schwalbe tyres recently.

Tried all the tricks but resorted to CO2 after going at it with a large volume track pump like a traveling salesman during his 5 minute adult channel preview. The drive resembled an explosion on a porn set at the end of it all.

Classic - many thanks for the post!

With the Bonty tyres on the Bonty rims they seem to seal immediately as are tight on the rim so any pump will inflate them. Guess the mavic's aren't quite as large a diameter?

Also struggle to get Big Earl TR tyres to seat on my Crossmax SX wheels. Usually nip to the garage and use the compressor.
On the plus side they last forever and never puncture so rarely have to change them.
