[#3372422]

I am going to re build the forks on the misses's bike as it doesn't get used much. I want to use the forks for a spare bike for myself but the forks seem to soft for me so not sure what weight oil to use. Does anyone know the standard wt and/or what could be recommended for someone who is 14stone.
Thanks.

Oil weight doesnt really make tham harder or softer, it just affects the damping. Standard is 7.5 I think. You need heavier springs.

These would probably do it. Although it may not be worth your money and time and effort. Sell them on and buy some more suitable forks?

It is looking that way, gets expensive, that's before I break something taking them apart.

Changing the weight of oil will help a little. If you decide to pull them apart, bung some 10wt in there. I went th other way with some z4's and put 5wt in to liven them up a bit. Never caused any issues.
