I have a Boardman mtb fs and had a suspension pivot bolt fall out. Heart sank at the prospect of going to Hanford. It is a brilliant spec bike but have constantly felt nervous of the Halfords dependency and oft publicised view that they are crap.
Went into local store in Kendal - not even a top Bike Hut branch. First reaction form them on trying to lookup spares on their system was that I would have to but a complete rear suspension unit at £220. But they agreed to take up with head office and came back to me that they could get replacement bolts. 4 days after going in, I got new bolts.
Wanted to post this since have seen so much negativity on Boardman spares and Halfords that thought was only fair to five some balance
