Sons cheapie BMX bike freewheel has gone bust, i have managed to remove it so now need a replacement.

Looking around i seem to see 2 sizes 1/8 and 3/32 the old freewheel has no markings so i'm struggling, any ideas?? (its 18T by the way).

1/8 is normal and a cheap dicta will be fine.

Oh for gods sake, in my haste i ordered a Dicta freewheel but now realised i bought the wrong listing and its a 3/32 instead of the 1/8 you suggested. Am i now in trouble with this part?

it will still work - 3/32 and 1/8 refer to the chain width - your 1/8 chain is wider than the 3/32 sprocket so it will work OK

A 1/8 chain will go on a 3/32 sprocket but not the other way round. Should be fine.
