theres only 0.6lbs or 270g weight difference between the aluminium Blur frame and the carbon one which i guess you wont really notice when its built up into a bike, but is it worth going for the carbon one for the extra stiffness?

I'm assuming its stronger as well, as theres no limit on the fork size on the carbon one unlike the aluminium. (not that that matters as i wont be going over 150 anyway.

Or is the carbon / aluminium choice all just down to bling factor 8)

Choice is either an LT SPX-AM spec or LT carbon R-AM spec, ie if i go for carbon it'll have cheaper bits on it!

My gf had a LT2 and I had the LTc- both really nice bikes. Mine was actually heavier once built so I wouldn't be getting one for the weight saving.

I thought the bike rode well but didnt do anything brilliantly IMO. The mrs rides a carbon meta 5 now and prefers it especially when descending.

If you have the cash go for the LTc and you can bling up over time.

For the price of the LTc have you considered the Nomad Carbon? It's a much more capable bike all round in my opinion. Weighs pretty much the same as the LTc as well.
