Ok stupid question - my M4s new bled as slightly leaky from the banjo when they arrived.

Can I use any DOT 5.1 fluid - LBS doesnt stock it but would any motor factor fluid do the job?

Got the rear caliper on and running and it feels excellent so far.

I use normal brake fluid (the stuff we use to build F1 cars) and that works fine, as long as it's new fluid as an open bottle will have absorbed water.

Ok that was a pain.

Bled them first time - got them working nicely then found fluid coming from the banjo again.

So started all over after some swearing and really made sure the banjo nut was ultra tight this time.

Still not 100% sure its ok (more paranoia) but they work nicely - really nice brakes, feel great and cant wait to put them to proper use.

Presuming we're talking about the bolt that goes into the caliper here, have you got a copper washer either side of the banjo fitting it passes through?
