My Louise FR's front brake has decided to act up, so I want to bleed it.
What do I need? I have syringes and halfords mineral oil, can I buy the disc brake adapter anywhere without having to buy the complete kit?
Looking at this guide (Page 15 fig 3), it suggest that something like this would do:(though the CRC description doesn't match):

Anyone done it DIY before?
you have to inject magura blood (i'm pretty sure it's the same as shimano mineral oil, but don't quote me on that) though the hole in the caliper (remove the plug with an allen key) you have to use an adapter which screws in. You suck the oil out the lever resevour as you push the fluid in with the syringe from the bottom. (tap the pipe and the lever as you do this to release any bubbles) also make sure that there is no bubbles of air in the syringe of clean fluid you are injecting) replace the lever cap prior to undoing the adapter and syringe from the caliper and quickly refitting the plug. As you are refitting the plug the trick it to squeeze the lever (only a couple of mm) to stop you trapping any air in when you put the plug back in. childs play.*
* Do not let children actually play with brake oil.
yep am happy with the process (similar to hayes) but want to know if I can buy the "you have to use an adapter which screws in." seperately without the rest of the kit?
I just checked the adaptor which comes with the bleed kits. That part is slightly different as the thread is longer, but it looks like it would do the trick. You might have to bodge it a bit with washers to get a shorter thread and maybe in case the syringe pipe is too big for the barb (plumbing tape?). Not sure how big magura rim brake hoses are.
gunna give it a go then as I think £2 risk is worth it to avoid a £20 kit.. Cheers Hooter
