I'm sure BR will be just fine, after all they've still got Ugo Santaumbongo passing on his totally impartial advice as to how anything wheel related that he does't like is actually a load of shit as, after all, he knows best.

I'm sure that he'll keep the site going.

Yeah I never look at the road forum, the MTB one is all but dead.

Is BR what the MBUK forum became? I got banned from their about 10 years back and haven't been back since. I used to be in the top 10 posters on there IIRC correctly but I had a disagreement with a mod and he reset my post count (all important in those days!) to zero.

After that I think I changed my name to 'yourworstnightmare' and went on a virtual rampage and kept the idiot mod busy for quite a while. Never been back.

They reckon the vast majority of users are happy and the number of users continues to grow. LMAO these are all the banned users recycling their new accounts at the site.

In the meantime we have that shoddy Velonut and Ugo Bikeradar-Pesos to moderate (ie. curtail) all meaningful discussions in the forums. It's so claustrophobic there, you can't think straight or tell it the way something is, unless it passes these two daft Mods approval.

Velonut has effectively turned that entire forum into his own personal playground. Last I heard he was discussing something about his astrological telescope (astrological!) consisting of a saucepan and a blowdryer. What a child.

Neither of them go on the MTB forum, so can't be held responsible for its demise.

I received a forum warning from Velo****er because i started a new thread about a topic, after the search function failed to show any related thread.

When i messaged him back asking if he could be helpful direct me to the already existing thread, i got a reply saying sarcasm isnt nice and uncalled for, and of course, no help in finding the thread.

I just had a run in with this pedant for a second time, he was correct this time I had 2 for sale threads but as you can't edit and I forgot something... Anyway it's not what he does it's how he does it. I was selling wheels and glasses he merged them and called it "Stuff". Last time I was selling a cross bike and put that it didn't have disc brakes and deleted the thread. It clearly did but he wouldnt admit he was wrong.

He has threads about him on a lot of forums, piston heads for one. The over riding sentiment is that the bloke is a bell end

Well he has now permanently banned me from the forum after I asked to be deleted. Unfortunately he has banned my IP or rather my work IP so I guess that's about 3500 people banned from the forum although sometimes it comes up as the groups IP so that would be 10s of thousands

I stopped looking when it changed design/server. Couldn't make head nor tail. Also found that where this place is full of know it alls puffed up with their own self importance at least they are a cut above the straight out trolls on that site..

Ouch! That's like someone deleting your saved game. I'm glad this place doesn't have post counts.
