[#2891087]

I'd like to free some space in my bike room by storing my bikes vertically end on to the wall (if that makes sense).

Any advice about whether I should go for a simple hook, a bike specific hookor a more substantial arrangement?

whatever it is, make sure it's fixed to the wall properly if you're going to put it over your bed, is my advice :/

Thanks for the advice jeff, but I tend not to sleep in the bike shed... Unless I've been really bad.

Does this advice come from a nasty incident.

I use reasonably heavy duty hooks from Screwfix, £2.50 each. I considered getting the bike specific hooks but I'm glad I didn't, there's really no need.

Hooks just over half a bar width apart, one high, the next lower, then high again and so on makes great use of space.

The wall material you're fixing into might make a difference, I screw the hooks straight into the breeze block wall (drill hole, no rawl plug needed) and they are very secure.
