Can anyone suggest a decent bike shop in Liverpool, city or outskirts?
Any bike jewellery? Best for good service?
Help much appreciated.
Bolt cutter.
? Sorry I don't follow ?
Christ I'm slow. ๐
Formby cycles is great but a good 45 Mins from city centre in a car as is Leisure Lakes in Tarleton. Liverpool itself is a bit short on good bike shops, there is the Giant concept shop but that's a bit rubbish and Quinns on Edge Lane leading out of the city centre but that's mainly roadie stuff and commuter specials.
Erm... I'll keep thinking...
For service then Bikesyoulike in Thatto Heath near St Helens is good, just a few stops out of Lime St on the City Line (?) towards Wigan. I'm fortunate that this is my LBS & I've used it for over 15 years so am on good terms with the owners. Also does bike to work etc.
For bike jewellry your looking at Leisure Lakes or internet tbh. LL would be a nice decent ride out of Liverpool & up the coast road via SOuthport (calling into Formby cycles on the way).
Formby cycles noted, we frequently pass by on our way to Southport, I'll take a look.
Thanks
no idea what its like now as is almost 15 years since I was there but over the Mersey - Birkenhead Cycle Exchange
there is also somewhere in Ellesmere Port, or a couple of shops in Chester
Bugger all in the city centre, from memory.
Formby Cycles good but DON'T DISCOUNT however much you spend.
Merlin at Leyland automatically discount if you buy in store and provide excellent service.
Buy a Bike also deal.
It's worth getting out of Liverpool to buy.
Giant store too pricey.

Don't go into Formby Cycles if you're a woman (or look like a woman) - they'll try to sell you a ladies shopper bike
