For a friend, unfortunately for the poor bastard he can only buy the bike from Halfrauds - cycle to work thing.
It's also his first mountain bike, we've whittled it down to

I have no experience of either but will take him down for a sit on it and feel. I'm just canvassing opinion on either from them that know or have opinions.
