did you take the pic infront of the hedge intentionally so that it would blend in and people wouldn't notice how fugly it was?

It takes more than a similar coloured hedge to disguise the fuglyness. 😆

She's a bute stu. I had a quick mince on her at the peaks a while back. Would have liked to come on that Scottish trip but struggled to get time off.

I've tried a Nomad though, thought it was overweight & totally unsuitable for the UK (unless you do Fort Bill every week) but if you like it that your prerogative.

Unsuitable for the UK? Depends on the rider and what sort riding you do.
XC mincer and trail centre visitor, not the ideal bike for that, But then I'm sure that the very same people on hugely heavy hardtails might be on unsuitable bikes too!?
I don't know why you think the Nomad is such a suitable bike for Fort Bill every week? It wouldn't be my choice if I was visiting the place on a weekly basis.

I found it to slack for anything other than DH.

Slack! Really! There are a lot of bikes running 67 degree head angles at the moment, not just "all mountain" bikes, but lots of hardtails too. 67 degrees is in fact, a pretty good choice for all day usage.

I would like to see an 09 nomad with chain device and bash.

My mates VP free has the E13 protruding below the bash guard and constantly hits the chain device.

The new nomad looks like the pivot is below the bash guard and will be even worse when a chain device is fitted!!!

Bit of an oversight for such and expensive frame.
