Looking to go to BPW and take my 12yo daughter.
Am I right in saying I can book a pedal pass and individual uplift tickets for her on the day instead of a full £50 adult uplift pass?
Do I need to book anything else for her?
Thanks
They need a pedal pass to attend don't they?
From the BPW website
13 years old and over = £5 per run
10 years old and under = £3.50 per run*
* Riders under 10 years old receive a free pedal pass with a paying adult.
My son is 7, sorry, didn't read that your child is 12.
Thanks for the reply.

Am I being a bit dumb here - is up to 13 years old £3.50 per run?
I am about to go with my ten year old and was wondering what to buy. The website seems to suggest limited pay as you go places. Going mid week but during school holidays, is it likely that they won't have capacity for PAYG on the day?
Suppose it depends how many runs they'll do.
I'm going of what my mate does with his kids - he reckons his kids (8 & 10) usually do about 5 runs. So cheaper just to get individual uplift tickets for them. So that's what I was thinking of doing with my 12yo.
I guess I was thinking about if they have space or not. Don't want to pay for my uplift and then not be able to buy a PAYG.
Decided to book full uplift for both of us - there's only about £16 difference if she does 5 runs compared to pedal pass & individual tickets....
Can I just say that my dad did f-all with me when I was a kid, so as far as I'm concerned any dad who takes their kid for an uplift day at BPW is an absolute legend of a parent. Well done you.
I had similar concerns about them selling out of the payg uplifts for my boy but was assured that as long as I paid for a full uplift there would always be availability for him.
Ansdy, sounds encouraging. Thanks
I'm going this weekend with my boy. I was unsure so emailed and got this response.
Hi Sam,
If you book yourself onto the uplift, you don't need to book your son anything. He can get a free pedal pass on the day, and you can purchase single runs for him on the day.
These will be guaranteed if you book yourself onto the uplift.
@sam1988 that's good to know - I had emailed but hadn't got anything back.
Great news

this is great news. its an expensive day with 4x full uplifts!

Went this weekend with my 6yo. I brought the uplift for myself. He got a free pedal pass and I brought 3 runs for him for £10.50.

The driver loaded and unloaded his bike. As it's only 20" wheels it hangs from the front wheel and the rear is held on with a strap aswell as the usual bar straps.
Hi all, went today with my Daughter.

We did 5 runs today - could possibly have made 6 but I snapped my chain at the top of our second run and ended up doing Melted Welly & Roller Disco chainless lol
Daughter really enjoyed herself.

Really good day overall 👍
Great news and great pic for the bedroom wall... Top dad points 🙂
been twice with my lad (9), in the dry we covered about 8 or 9 runs mostly on the green and then a couple of blues before he couldn't hold on anymore, 2nd time was Feb 1/2 term in the rain and cold still did quite a few and a good day. Both times booked on full uplift with me as I had no idea how many runs he'd do. The 1st time measured 18 miles of downhill, no wonder he was asleep before we got out of the car park.

Massive thumbs up to all you ace parents out there.
Glad the young uns had fun.
I hope he continues to love it and I have photos like those of my own someday 👍
