Planning a trip to bike park wales and wondered if it is worth using my dropper post if im using the uplift service? or is it just best to use a regular seatpost dropped (meaning is there many uphill or sat down pedally bits).
My bikes a 140mm hard tail, does any one whos been reckon that this will be fine for most of the runs?
*looks on with interest*
are you riding up hill? if not leave the dropper at home
Very little need for one, went last week and while there are a couple of bits where you might pop it up I wished I'd left mine at home and saved potential damage.
Bikepark Wales is a e
What's fitted at the moment? Use that.
Went last weekend and just dropped my standard seat post just enough for the downhills , I used the up lift ๐
I couldn't decide what to use so I didn't go in the end
what ??? surely its fitted to the bike already ? aint that the idea of a dropper post - set it so its perfect for descents and good for uphils ??
Do you actually switch between dropper post and fixed post depending on the ride you'll be doing?
Really???
Never mind the "should i use a dropper post" question.
What you should realy be thinking about is the "are my valves lined up with my tyre logos" question.
Cheers guys I think ill leave it at home. It certainly aint a case of "which will go with my outfit better". More of a case of that If I knacker it doing stupid stuff I cant afford another one. Its not one fancy enough to stand up to abuse so I rather leave it at home when theres not going to be much uphill/straight bits where it will come in usefull! (T-mars cheapo thing... in fact it was free!).
