Hi

I'm looking for a maintenance course which would teach me how to do most repairs e.g. fitting new cables, installing bottom bracket etc.

Looked at Dales Mountain Bike Weekend Course and wondered if anyone had any experience of this or any other recommendations - Edinburgh Bike etc?

Thanks

The guys at Dales Mountain Bike are really friendly and good at their stuff. Plus it's a cracking place to be based for a course. I can recommend the pub up the road for food as well.

Not done one myself, so can't actually comment on content..

But if their course is half as good as their cake, then you won't go far wrong with DBC...

Yes - I've been on the Dales Bike Centre Maintenance Course. Highly recommended. Everything patiently and systematically explained and plenty of time to practice things. And yeah - the cake is fab!

I wouldn't recomemnd Ed Bike Co-Op course. I went on the one day course and the hands on element was very limited ...Fixing a Puncture (! most time spent on this), Gear tune, and Rim Brake, other stuff they mention on ad was a quick demo by instructor but of no real value (no practice).
