I am sure this has been covered before, but I was hoping for up to date recommendations for a small group trip next year for a big birthday...

I am looking at Europe for a week riding mainly flowy singletrack rather than gnarly kickers, ideally with uplift

Anyone been anywhere good lately?

Thanks!

White Room MTB in Bourg Saint Maurice are definitely worth speaking to, good location with some bike parks if going during opening time or van uplift to uncharted singletrack or a mix of both.

Tim and Jenny run excellent mountain bike holidays in Spain.ย  We had a brilliant trip with them and the riding is exactly what you are after.

Another white room recommendation but note that if you're a small group you'll be mixed in with others. Great riding, great accommodation, fantastic food. Pretty much everything taken care of.

White Room in Bourg would be good, Switchbacks in Bubion (Spain) is also good for what you describe.ย  Theres also Basque MTB in Northern Spain which is a great place to ride, I think they also do trips to Ainsa too.

Which Pure Mountains do not have.

I've just had a look at them cos they're only one village along from where I stay for road riding in the area and it seems to be predominantly downhill with vehicle support - looks like mostly riding from the front door, mostly descending then a lift back home at the end of the day.

I have ridden MTB around there (bit further down the valley with another company) and that was basically their operation as well - there's some climbing but the bulk of it is either a vehicle from base to the summit or mostly descending and then a vehicle ride home.

Nice place they're in, there's loads of trails round there.
Note I've never been to Pure Mountains but I do know that area well, just added to my list. ๐Ÿ™‚

So you ride down then get a lift up?

Finale, with Atlas Ride Co (formerly MTBBEDS) is a good week, in spring and autumn.

I'll mention Molini, on the Italian Riviera, just because I don't think anyone else has.

Great riding in a stunning location - and close enough to Finale to have a day or two there as well.

Second Molini. Been twice and will defo go again. It's like someone took the FoD and expanded it about a 1000 times ๐Ÿ™‚ Loads of amazing places to ride, very quiet (compared to finale), stunning scenery, amazing, long trails, quite a bit of variety and if you go with Atipico (who are fab), great accommodation, guiding and uplift.

We're off to Mediera in July. Not ridden there before but based on having been for a winter break, it's a fun island and looks perfect for MTBing...

+1 for Madeira. They've worked hard to provide some of the best trails on earth rather than just using lift assisted walker trails or bike park style (morzine etc). It's like golfie but with uplifts and better weather.
