Hi,

what does everyone use to track their rides [thats if they do] Do people just use their phones GPS/Apps or do they have a bike computer situated on your bars?

Thanks

Endomondo on my phone in my pocket never really bothered about what my current or avg speed is.

I have a Samsung Ace and use MyTrails App to track my ride, It uploads immediately to my PC so as when I get home its already on my computer screen. I have also used Strava if I want to compete on times, but for general trail mapping I find MyTrails brilliant.

Memory Map (free version) in the iPhone, works a treat and you get free blocks of OS mapping

It will work just fine in your pocket/pack if you don't feel compelled to read your current speed, distance etc. If you do then either get a mount for the iphone or Garmin Edge 200. Strava on phone in pocket works for me ๐Ÿ™‚

Generally I use my Garmin Etrex H to record rides, it's bomb proof and way cheaper than any smartphone to replace. Sometimes it's on my bar or in my bag, don't really need it while riding unless I'm using it to navigate too.

If I was to get something specific today I'd buy one of these

All of the apps mentioned above will accept uploaded workouts, which takes seconds.

I've used MyTracks in the past but I converted to Endomondo as the website produces nice graphs and stats for me - this appeals to my inner nerd ๐Ÿ˜€

Out of interest Nick, does the Etrex record rides on to Garmin Connect? Also, how does it perform for basic navigation?

Miguel73 - Strava will do exactly what you want

Are there any smartphone apps that record/display ANT+ data at the same time.

Quite fancy a new GPS, but a Sony Xperia with ant+ is considerably cheeper than an edge800.

Basicly I want an app that does everything the edge800 does, and lets you plot routes on an OS (or similar) mapping, for as cheep as possible.
