Do folk with towbar mounted bike carriers tell their insurance co about them? Do you have to tell them? Just curious as I havent and I am thinking I should call tomoz as a just in case. I know what they are like at wrigglingout of claims.
I haven't and can't see why I should (they have been told I have a tow bar) but they don't expect me to tell them if I put them on a back door mounted rack or if I tow a trailer.
for my last 2 motors i told the insurers and it didn't make a scrap of a difference, BUT be warned some insurers consider the whole towbar / rack a modification and don't pay out if you suffer damage / loss and haven't pre warned them
safest option is just call them and check
