Off to the alps/mega soon - read some people suggest 819/719s are too narrow for 2.5 tyres - I've been running one on an 819 for a few weeks and it seems fine. Just ghetto tubelessed it and again it seems ok, but it is too much of a risk of burping/rolling off?
Gonna give it a try tomorrow on some really rocky stuff and see how it goes.
Anyone else run big tyres on these rims?

I've been running 2.5 High Roller 60a UST for nearly 8 months on a front 819 & Michelin 2.2 AT16 on the rear 819 as low as 25 psi with no problems or punctures.

Been using a 2.4 conti rubber queen (with tube) up front on a 719 with no problems, and it's a mighty big tyre(bigger than a maxxis 2.5).
