No niche
Best if a "british" brand (even though it's made in the Far East)
Don't take people's comments to heart. If you can't take a ribbing then don't post.
Sort out saddle angle and height.
Resist temptation to get coloured cables.
Weed your garden first.
seat should be level and clamped to the post in the middle, no great fore or aft overhang
its not me, i don't make the rules!
Dont lean it against your shed/woodpile as people will be more interested in that?
Prop it up against the sofa. Or am I too old school?
Stem no more than 92.685mm long (or is that not this week's threshold?)

Point taken MrP ๐
I guess it depends on how you define a slating ๐
female in background
attractive
disrobed
legs at a quarter past 9
MMMM - sounds nice bakes ๐ 8) Unfortunately haven't seen any of those in recent memory on 'ere ๐
If you're taking pictures in the nude, ensure nothing shiny is in shot.
Am I the only person who now deliberately doesn't line up their tyre logs and valves?
For my last "new build" photo, I stood a chicken on the bike.
9. Not really caring what people think. Post on a forum and expect + and - remarks. In summary, MTFU.
Chunky - my OP was "Best way to avoid a slating posting new build pics"
So your 9. point sort of conradicts the first 8. directives ๐ LOL
You can't go against programming no?
Make sure that you have a picture of Marx, Kier Hardie or Scargill in the background. ๐
Nah thought picture of Churchill background with union jack ๐
I like to see tidy crimpage.
No innertube chainstay protectors unless you wear a saucepan as a crash helmet.
Post on a different forum!!!!
you forgot it needs to be in the big ring. either halfway up the cassette or al the way up.
Perhaps this should be a sticky Post ๐
A combination of Drac and Bakes is a winner
Just post the piccie and sit back and take the reaming, like the rest of us.
You will feel better for it, if slightly violated ๐
Nice one woody
Make sure there is no mention of 'steed' in the thread, it's a bike
As long as its an Orange 5, in white, and you only put it on STW, all youll get is Coo's, like single women over babies.
eugh it disgusts me ๐
Make sure there is no mention of 'steed' in the thread, it's a bike
I still s**** when I think of the phrase "big burly rig", so please feel free to use that in your threads.
I'm liking the carefully created tableau's. More please.
make sure it's not a Kinesis
NO half plastic hardtails - it will melt in the summer rain you know ๐
No lay-back seatposts!
Oh Bol!0ck$ - rules me out then ๐ [lumbers away with a tear in his eye]
I'm liking the carefully created tableau's.(sic) More please.
Likewise. I've actually got a bike that I've done a lot to since I last photographed it. I shall attempt to get a midget to lean it against, a couple of vintage editions of Razzle and a pina colada to provide foreground interest.
Best to make sure it's something mainstream and looks just like the designers and propaganda men wanted it to look
Better still to be exactly the same as a recent feature you should be fine like that !
don't post them on here, everyone (myself included) is F------g c--t ๐
