Series 2 of Rev (just finished) was excellent. If you've got Sky, Game of Thrones and Boardwalk Empire too.

Yeah, top class, up there with The Wire. Probably better, the Wire had some weak series.

The Tina Turner moment in Psychoville...

...the whole series was great though and easily matched the first series.

Breaking Bad by a mile. I just don't understand why it hasn't been picked up over here though so illegal downloads are the only way to watch it. It's just got better as it's gone on and I can't think of a better American show now. Game of thrones was good but pales next to the book, Dexter is also still worth watching.

Wonders of the Universe
That thing with Gene Hunt in it
Shadow Line
Master Chef

This is all I have watched all year, really, apart from the news, newsnight review and question time.

I don't give Murdoch any money on principle, so have missed stuff like Boardwalk Empire, might get the DVDs from Lovefilm at some point.

I'm just starting into Breaking Bad... Absolutely loving it, then along comes my brother and says "Yeah, it's got a bit of a slow start but bear with it- it gets better".

IMO the latest series of breaking bad wasn't great, only kept watching it to see where it went. Dexter is continuing to be ace for me. Games of thrones, misfits, fresh meat, big bang theory all still good too.

I just don't understand why it hasn't been picked up over here though so illegal downloads are the only way to watch it

AFAIK downloading TV is still a grey area? I don't think that anyone has been prosecuted for doing it? I could be wrong...

Quite enjoyed The Hour, and don't normally get into a series.

I tried a couple of episodes of Boardwalk Empire, but couldn't get into it, likewise The Killing (C4 version - need to try the BBC4 version)

Breaking Bad series 4 was fantastic.

Dexter series 6 has been pretty awesome so far, but only watched a few episodes.

House series 8 has been a bit more of the same, although it did have a pretty cool start. Still great though.

Been impressed with Family Guy series 10, they're still keeping it pretty fresh, had my in stitches the other night.

Looking forward to starting the new series of The Walking Dead.

Obviously the new series of Futurama that came out this year was without question the best thing that humans have ever created.

Also looking forward to starting on Frozen Planet, but haven't finished Planet Earth yet, so will do that first.

For me the latest (4) was the best so far. I've no poblem with downloads myself but I'm aware of the industry complaining about tv show downloads on popular shows, it's the main reason we now get a lot of American shows much quicker. I don't think even season 3's been shown here though so I doubt anyone actually has UK rights for season 4 to try and enforce.

This years highlights:

Colbert Report (Which has been consistently excellent this year)
Bored To Death
Fades
Misfits
SOA
Futurama
The Killing 2
Breaking Bad (Even though it, but not as much as Dexter, went off the boil a little but)
Rev
...and a load I have forgotten.

As usual, all Unreported World, True Stories and BBC Nature docs have been first rate.

As well as Breaking Bad, Dexter, Sons of Anarchy that have already been mentioned i thought Treme was excellent.

Anyone else see Rubicon on BBC4? That was really good. Was a spy / conspiracy thriller, a slow burner and was shaping up to be great...got cancelled after its first season and ended on a cliffhanger!

Looking forward to Mad Men coming back next year.
