What apps and/or websites is anybody else using for route finding and calculating? Battery not charged on my GPS today and I CBA running Strava on my phone in my pocket, so I was wondering how far I did. Not too hard on Google or Bing, but there must be an app to make it easier to do - I'd also be interested in other features for finding new routes.
I use viewfinder. It's OS maps based and is just brilliant
I use backcountry navigator. Its similar to viewfinder. Though not as easy to use it's significantly cheaper for the maps.
BikeHike is an easy online course creator using OS maps. So you can retrospectively plot your route. if it has to be an app, BCN^ has a course creator tool.
re planning new routes, I use where's the path to compare map to satellite, sites like Strava and Just go ride to see where others have gone, google the usual words to find sites with routes/gpx files
