love my shimano ones! currently testing out crank bros candy 1s, they seem nice, but not as tough as shimano!

Shimano spds, got some on my 2008 Kona still good, got XT on my Epic great.

Not tried others dont feel the need.

959s or whatever the xtr equivalent is nowadays - flawless. About the only xtr bit I buy - they last years.

xtr. run forever.

my new xtr trails are still fine but due to the wide platform dont work with certain [mavic] shoes as their tread depth is too deep for the cleat to pedal interface...

Im still useing apair of low end shimano spd.Which have had a hard life and when they need to go to the big bin in the sky i will replace them with the same. Cheap as chips
