Nights are drawing in. Need ideas for a helmet light as my AyUp setup has died - Needs to be easy to fit like the joystick , light, bright and longish burn times i.e. pref 3 hours 🙂 Not too worried about cost - maybe up to £100

Send AyUp to trout - he'll pimp it.

Else DX are selling XML - basterd lights for £30 Just £30 - gulp

Have a search on here. best is either a trout or a luminous. Best value is a magicshine / dx / bastid light in one of its guises. a few Uk resellers of it if you want assurance of a local reseller - spokeshirts did some last year as did / does smudge or buy direct from DX in hongkong - someone put a link to one for £5 a day or two ago.

For example http://www.mtbbatteries.co.uk/. Its hard to beat that for lumens per £ with teh reassurance of UK reseller and the seller is an STWer - smudge
Available cheaper direct from hong kong tho I think

is it the battery that has died or the light head
if you dont want to repair it I will take it off your hands for my collection or will revamp it for you

I can vouch for Trout's conversions. He recently did a Hope HID of mine that was on the way out, converting it to a triple XPG (I think) and c1200+ lumens. Brighter than the HID, an easier light to ride with colour wise and has three power settings rather than the one previously. I also get a warning when the battery is running low rather than the instant cut-out by the HID :D.
