Cool, will give it a try then, already got MotionX free, used it a couple of times, and its alright, but only seems to hold one track, doesn't seem to be a way of tracking your progress fitness/speed wise unless you buy the full version(I know its only a few quid, but I'm tight and if I can get a free app that does what I want then I can keep my money in my pocket).

Trail Guru is very good - excellent upoad to the web, and it's free. You can properly lock the screen as well, as opposed to the dodgy psedo locks most apps comes with. Do this:

Start playlist on repeat (just shuffle all your songs)
Turn the sound down if you don't want to listen
Press home
Start Trail Guru recording
Press the phones lock button
Screen is off but the app is now running in the background ๐Ÿ˜€

PS. That trick works with run keeper etc as well.

Another vote for Runkeeper. Worth getting the paid-for version if you want to be able to control the iPod while the application's running.
