Best geared HT for singletrack and downhill (uphill as well of course)?

Used to a Kona cindercone so needs to be on a par or even better 🙂

Quick, somebody help me get the lid back on the can of worms before it spills everywhere! 😉

Material, Price range, fork travel requirements, where you ride most etc. ALL of these would help somewhat!

No point me suggesting a Titanium Indy Fab if you've only got £200 to spend on the frame, nor an On One Inbred if you're looking at spending £1500 on a frame only!

loving my charge duster 🙂

this months MBR review has it with longer travel forks i believe - its best run at 100mm.

not ideal for smacking it downhill though but ridewise comparable to konas of old.

Loving my Cotic Soul. Far better than I ever dreamed, combined with travel adjust forks, it really is a do anything bike.

The terms "Best geared HT" and "On-One Inbred" go together like potassium and water 😯

I have a medium cotic soul with adjustable forks that you are welcome to take a spin on if you are ever riding in east Kent. Also know of a couple of bike shops that have decent demo hardtails in the area

Well chuffed with my second Orange SubZero (which replaced an earlier SubZero that's still going strong).

Got a P7 pro a few weeks ago.......I can imagine the 'normal' P7 to be great fun too for an off the shelf bike, and within budget

yossarian email me and we will hook up...wheelnut64@googlemail.com

I like the look of the Sanderson and the handjob.

I might view a Klein altitude at the weekend so any comments about them would be good 🙂

if you're not in a rush, and have around 800 to spend, look at custom 853frames, then you'll get exactly what you want.

Very fond of my Cannondale chase its up for anything within reason, lovely lively balanced frame takes up to 150mm fork, xc social or I can ride it up and down all day, trail parks & jumps .... and it looks nice.
