Hi all

Don't want to spend a fortune but wondered if anyone had got a set of front lights that were visible in the daytime?

Thinking high powered battery LED's but which ones?

MC

PS - high vis is a no no - hence the lights!

proper daylight - cheap small flashers should be fine

dusk and/or wintery gloom - cheapish biggish reflectors and not too bright non-flashers

hi-vis makes a massive difference IME as a driver - is it that you can't or don't want to ?

(personally I'd wear hi-vis and shine light(s) onto myself but there you go; I'm clearly an attention-whore)

Check out the Exposure Flash/Flare combo. Go for the rechargeable option and you'll find they're easy to live with, have a very good pulse (rather than flash) and the front is much brighter than when used with disposables, so is very visible during the day. They're tiny too.

IIRC, Exposure themselves promote the use of daylight running lights - as per your average motorcyclist. I guess they've got a vested interest in it, but it does make some sense - hence why I tend to run them most of the time during spring & autumn.

Whats the aversion to High Vis? Most bike gear has something reflective in? I used to have a site vest that I would use in darker conditions.
