I have found some Torq gels in the cupboard but they are best before Nov 09. I reckon that they will be fine and that the date is just there to make me buy more. Any advice or experience?

i have used and lived after taking gels that are 14-15months out of date. It is a Best Before date and not a use by date after all.

Best get the High 5 energy bars that were a year out of date out of the bin. Saw them earlier and Mrs ssboggy told me to chuck them ๐Ÿ˜€

'Best before" is about food quality and "use by" is for food safety. There is so much sugar in the stuff that it is highly likely to be unsafe anyway!

I'm increasingly mystified by 'best before' and 'eat by' dates; no one with any intelligence pays much attention to 'best before' and 'eat by' is like the pirates code.
