Re-reading an old STW inspired me to have a crack a Cadair Idris. We had a fab 3 days in Betws end October but the B&B wasn't that great. Had a look at trip advisor and there seems lots of choice. Don't mind paying a bit more, obviously want to be close to the pub, don't need bike storage as we have the van. Still Wales end April, a drying room might be nice!
Or even the Hotel in the middle of town, although I've no idea how expensive that is. Don't mind paying a bit more for a B&B to get a good one, need two twin rooms.
Any recommendations?
(EDIT: I know BYC isn't the closest but we have plans for the other days we'll be up there and this is a good centre spot. And we really like it there!)
No-one? Are you leaving me to decide based on the ramblings of the bottom half of the internet?!

The glan arbor hotel, this link says bunkhouse but it's a hotel as well. very clean, nice breakfast, has a bar and free parking. right in the middle.
http://www.aberconwy-house.co.uk/ worked for us last year, out of town but a really easy walk as there's a path that takes you straight there. Good host, good breakfast, nice room.
YHA @ swallow falls.
Only ever used the Vagabond http://www.thevagabond.co.uk/
Would recommend but suspect you're looking for posher.
+1 for Glan Aber. I've only stayed in the bunkhouse but can vouch for the quality of the breakfast and late-openingness of the bar ๐
Stayed here about 10 times now
Old fashioned local charm and a top notch breakfast

Even for a cheap bunkhouse this place is a shithole
Any route maps for Cadair Idris?
For affordable luxury, the Pengwern Country House is really nice
I stayed in the Glan Aber hotel, it was nice in a run-down-old-hotel way. I like that, not everyone does.
(also stayed in the bunkhouse, it's pretty bad, though not apparently as bad as the vagabond)
If you want nice then the Tyn-Y-Coed Hotel is just up the road in Capel Curig.
Thanks all. Sorry got distracted with work. Will have a look later at the options. I do have a route - it's basically straight up, straight down sort of...
Garth Dderwen: great people, bike store/cleaning facilities, great food....really enjoyed our stay with them
+1 for Garth Dderwen. Stayed there twice.
