After enjoying the coast-to-coast route of the John Muir Way we noticed on the O/S map an extension that continued down the coast and onto the Berwickshire Coastal Path. And so it was, with a few days leave to use up, we found ourselves back in Dunbar, heading South out of town past the golf course on the John Muir Link.
Day 1 saw us hug the coast from Dunbar down to Torness Power Station on enjoyable singletrack.
Past the brutalist sea defences of the power station it was more coastal singletrack down to the old mill at Dunglass Bridge where we headed inland for a short wooded loop through to Cockburnspath - a place we know from that other coast-to-coast adventure the Southern Upland Way We then reversed the route back to Dunbar.
Day 2
After a stormy night in a cheap midweek caravan we set off North from Eyemouth along clifftop singletrack to St Abbs.
Past a grumpy National Trust employee we headed out around St Abbs Head to enjoy the bird life and scenery and onto some quite steep ups.
The trail got a bit more "farmland" from here up to the Pease Bridge and the crack of thunder was our cue to start our return, mostly following NCN 76
Day 3Â to follow but the button to add more photos has mysteriously disappeared - maybe there is a limit on photos you can post as a paying member, who knows?
This sounds / looks good. Just back from a road loop of Northumberland and the East Coast from Edinburgh down to Newcastle is one of my favourite places to ride bikes, albeit has been mostly on back roads and cycle paths. Going to check this out for a "bit more trail" option.

This happened to me a few weeks ago once I reached 10 or 12 pics in one post in the Tractors thread. At the time, I got round it by using postimg and linking to the remainder, then the button came back a couple of days later. Weird.
There are some ace enduro trails just up the road in Penmamshei.
I love the section between Dowlaw Farm and St Abbs, The crazy track at Rough Heugh that jigzags 150m down to the shore always catches my eye but haven't ridden (couldn't face the push back up) and the the view from the cliff edge at the spot height 161m Uilystrand Brae at the waterfall above the inaccessible beach. Also the third cave in the slab by Pettico Wick jetty which has a hidden through route into cave 1 with its watery entrance.
