Hi all took a trip to Bedgebury yesterday (brother lives a mile away) so did a couple of loops.

What's the deal with all the gravel on the trails? I thought the yellow brick road at swinley was bad but the trail surface at Bedgebury was terrible! It was like someone had dumped a load of kitty litter down it. Fun to power slide round the berms mind you 🙂

Good fun and enjoyable for a couple of hrs! Not ridden there for 2 years and quite a bit work has obviously been done so good work trail pixies.

Oh and £12 bloomin quid to park! How much of that goes to maintaining the trails? Hope you get a good proportion of it as at least half the car park was full of people with bike racks!

It depends if you are a member.... members a higher proportion goes to thr trails apparently though what that is I don't know.

£12 does seem excessive...it made me gulp last Saturday..

It's £60/year for an annual pass and I'm there with the dog/kids/bike twice a week. There's been a lot of work on the trails, and it needs some rain to bed in the gravel, but we haven't had any for months.

Park at your brother's house and ride over?

(Slightly tongue in cheek, slightly serious)

They had to do something, the trails used to get trashed and boggy over the winter.
It's not a bad place but not worth travelling for. £12 to park takes the biscuit though. Too greedy for me.

One thing worth doing are the xc races there. The Boars use a completely different track that is twisty and loamy. One of my favourite xc circuits ever!

Beluga Bob yeah.... Next time I will! Didn't mind the £3 charge but was half asleep going through the barrier and didn't realise it was £12 if you left after 10.30am. Know for next time though.
