On the mtb , the cranks I have are gash. I want to put my SLX ones on .
What's the best way?
I've seen the shims but think it will cause bother, so that leaves step down BBs. Which ones are ok.
Is the bottom bracket definitely BB30 and not PF30?
I have step down adapters from BB30 to Shimano cranks on my road bike. Works well but I'm not convinced about the sealing from dirt ingress etc.
Wheels Manufacturing do one - good bearings, and seems to be reliable.
I've fitted several of the wheels manufacturing ones and getting good feedback so far. Praxis do one too but I wasn't as impressed by it.

I run Wheels Manufacturing BB30 to Hollowtech II (I think!) plastic shims on my road bike. Very good.
Im currently using a SRAM PF30 adaptor on my second bike, no issues so far (12 months on)
Did the shims come with spacers???
