Going to Ballater for a couple of days riding, any trail recommendations? looking for the more technical trails with minimal fire road. Cheers in advance

Pop into Cycle Highlands and pick up a set of these maps:
TRAILMAPS.BIZ Shows most of the good trails and areas with singletrack. A bit more efficient than the OS map and printed on plastic stuff. I'm sure the guys in their would point you in the right direction.
