Got a Rothan for my youngest 2nd birthday. She's had it a few months and is happy walking it along. She's also happy to lift her feet and let me push her along, helping with the balance.
I'm not sure what height the seat is best to be for her to get the idea of scooting along. Should she have flat feet on the ground at both sides, or be on her toes??
be able to get both feet on the floor initially - then find a gentle slope so that gravity will assist her "scoot" whilst she learns to balance
sounds like I have it about right.
When sitting on the saddle she's half way between two flat feet and two pointy toes on the ground.
I guess it'll take some time. She is only 2 years and 4 months after all!
I'd have it so both feet are flat on the floor initially - it should give a lot more confidence
Isla recommend that both feet are fully flat on the floor with a slight bend in the knee. Had mine (daughters) for 6 months and that is what I have worked on throughout without a problem.
