I need a set of 650B/27.5 plus Wheels

I've been quoted £650 for WTB Scrapers on Hope pro2 including WTB tyres as part of a rolling chassis.

Or I've been quoted £525 for Ryde Trace on Pro 4s, no tyres.

Is anyone familiar with Ryde? (I can't find much in the way of reviews)

What other options out there have people experienced?

I want to run 2.8 - 3.0

Thanks

Search out a set of Roval (specialized) wheels. They are 30-odd mm wide. I think there are two versions - the earlier version had a higher spoke count and were heavier.

Failing that, Alpkit do a b+ wheel set - not very light, though. Bear in mind you'll be adding 1kg tyres.

I've got Alex Supra 35 rims on SS hubs on 2 of my bikes. Been solid so far and running 3" tyres on the plus bike with no issues.

Halo Vapour 50 wheels on my hardtail.. Seem really good and really wide rims. Very good value

Hope pro 4 Boost with Scrapers on my Santa cruz. Really nice as well.

I'm happy with Scrapers but if I were building now I might look at the DT Swiss XM551

I like my vapour, seems good value, if that is a concern

Thanks for the input, price is always a factor but isn't my primary concern although those Roval's deffinitely look too steep. It doesn't sound like anybody has come across the Rydes yet though.

On-one have a set on scrapers I think... depends on the hubs you need though.

I went with WTB i35s, they're not full-fat plus but they're nice rims and well priced. TBH I didn't dig the plus thing at all and I don't know if that's because of the rim width- I don't think so but you never know

Don't alpkit have some b+ wheels in the bike range?

DT Swiss XM551 rims built onto the hubs of your choice.
