Am I right in thinking RS are 9mm longer?

Surely it depends upon what’s being compared to what?
When I was looking at forks for the Stache, Fox were longer.

No, it depends on the fork but nowadays they’re all pretty close for a given type/travel/wheelsize. Looks like a Lyrik 29 is only 4mm longer than a 36 29, so the dynamic ride height will matter more than the A2C length.

Depends on the models, I did a similar check a while ago and rockshox were shorter than fox & marzocchi. I simply downloaded spec sheets from their sites.

I've found Fox to be fairly consistently a wee bit taller than an equivalent Rockshox but I just stick to Fox anyway.
