Anyone ridden there? Any good? Other good stuff off the bike too? We are staying there for 4 nights in the summer.
I watched a couple of vids and the black looked waaay easier than the red? But vids are often misleading.ย
We stayed near there a few years ago and did some skiing in the area. Don't know about biking, but the town is lovely and there's tons of interesting stuff nearby. Prehistoric cave art and unique geology. Tons of hiking. Probably some climbing. Unsure if the lifts take bikes in the summer. The tour rolls through that area pretty often, so lots of decent road riding to be had.
Looks like there's a variety of MTB trails in the valley on Trailforks.
It's not far from Andorra, if you fancy a day trip. We drove over the pass for a day at Grandvalleria.
As with all of France, watch out for speed cameras 😬
Not ridden specifically there but have ridden in the area. Loads to see and do. Definitely go to Andorra as well.ย
Nice town as well. Stick your feet in the thermal springsย
The RN20 betweenย Ax-Les-Thermes and Andorra is currently closed (and will be for "several weeks") due to a huge rockfall
SHOULD be open by summer, but...
SHOULD be open by summer, but...
Arghhhhhhhhhhh!!!! We are booked on a campsite in Andorra to visit the bike park the week prior. Lets hope that road gets sorted.
Road closed till may 1st
It was a very long time ago but I rode round that general area one April. We camped (in a van) a bit lower in the valley as it was baltic at night.ย
Riding was very much "get IGN map and explore" but Trailforks exists now.
Lovely area, incredibly picturesque.
