I'm sure I read a thread about this on Saturday night but for the life of me can't find it today.
Anyway, I'm sure I read this on Friday / Saturday about the concave washer on the Avid post mount set up splitting. Anyway, this happened to me mid-ride on Sunday whilst trying to adjust my recently amended set up (swapped discs). I just removed the split washer and seems fine (stopped the horrific ringing noise). Wondered if anybody else had this problem.
And a link to the original thread would confirm I'm not going mad.

Get some from your lbs - they are thrown out when v-brake pads are replaced.

noticed this on the missus bike when i looked on sunday ....
as al says - new ones from the v brake pads !
