I have a set of Avid Elixir R brakes, and the hose angle isn't great. Does anyone know if you can replace, or have any experience of replacing the fixed hose banjo with an adjustable one?

isn't it just a case of loosening the bolt and adjusting the angle?

No sadly, the angle is fixed on my Elixir R's and have no bolt, the CR's have the bolt you mention though.
No - Rs do have the bolt to adjust it. I've done it on mine. Its the opposite side of the caliper to where the hose is attached and has the bleed screw in the middle of it. Loosen, twist, tighten, simple.
(Don't R and CRs have the same caliper? I though only the lever was different.)
