Trying to fix some Elixirs. The piston opposite the hose on both calipers is sticking. I have stripped one of them down, cleaned it, replace piston and seal and lubricated with red rubber grease. Did not help at all!
What now? Seems to be a fairly common problem with Elixirs. Am I missing something obvious? Or are they just sh1t and need binning? I'd like to fix them if I can though!
They're made by Avid....
Yeah, I know... they came off a new bike (replaced very quickly with Hope X2). I'm building up another bike now mainly out of s/h bits so I thought I'd use the Elixirs as I had them lying around. It's not going to take too much to push me in the direction of the new Tech X2 Evos though - they look very nice!!
