Hi All,
i got some bb7s off here and tried to attach them to my bike with shimano mounts for a 160mm rotor. This didn't work as the caliper body is too big to sit on the mounting bolt holes. I notice in pics avid are set up with bolt extension thingies (spacers?) and the adaptors seem particularly svelte.
Any clues where to get all these magic bits/information?
Thanks
Yes - the "tri align system" - its a set of conical washers to allow the caliper to be adjusted in all planes.
IIRC they are exactly the same as the washers you use with canti brake pads. Or simply space the calliper out the correct amount with whatever is handy

People slag it off but the tri-align works for me
Whomever sold you the calipers without the conical washers is a bit of a bandito IMHO, they're essentially part of the caliper
thanks everybody!
