I think you missed his point. Discussing / accusing it before the trial could get it thrown out as it could prevent a fair trial.
Although as no names or anything else has been mentioned it seems far fetched.

Eventually got a reference number from SYP that they say Derbyshire should recognise; have contacted Derbyshire online but not had a response yet.
No, that wasn't the reg no. Someone else causing trouble?
