if not, are you just a fake? 😉

Chipps?@Chipps

Like the look of Endura's MTR range. Designed w/input from Oli Beckingsale and seems really sorted for 'real' riders. http://tinyurl.com/92mmshl

at times in the context used yes.

other times no.

I generally prefer my serious out there mountain kit to be not compromised by fashion etc but to have what I need and nothing else.

For the days when it's sunny or you can get to safety/shelter before hypothermia sets in then who cares.

£60 for the shorts eh. Presume they're unlined at that price?

The cut on the baggies is pretty slim – kind of a TransAlp euro-baggy look. They’re simple in design with no vents, two slash pockets and one small zipped rear pocket for a car key and a tenner.

'TransAlp' - is that now a niche, or is it a style?

I think it looks pretty handy. No liners in the baggies is good and them being designed to work with bibs is ace.

Those wind proof jerseys could be nice.

Are they saying that their older stuff just wasn't good enough/ up to the job and that this is what we've all been waiting for.

or is it rebranding a few items of clothing (that may or maynot have been rejigged) and bumping the price up a bit?

If being a 'real rider' means that you have to wear these, then I am happy being a fake

their sudden lefthanded-ness renders them instantly appealing!

I'm sure some women would appreciate those shorts.

I must be a 'real' rider, because I think that stuff looks great.

I've been using the Helium jacket for a couple of years for commuting and MTBing and it's been brilliant, apart from the little flap inside the zip which got snagged once and I had to wait until my wife got home to cut it off so I could get the jacket off. The Emergency Shell is as waterproof, but looks like it has an external flap which should solve that problem.

MTB stuff generally has too many pockets/zips/flaps and is cut a bit too baggy for me. I like more minimal, skinnier stuff.

That was kind of Oli's take on the range. It's intended for riders who are out in all weathers at all times of the year. There's a minimum of features to keep it light and simple and to dry quickly too. The narrow cut of the baggies is in line with what a couple of other manufacturers are doing for more event-orientated baggies, so you can do long or fast enduros or TransWherever events and not have to be all Spandexed up...

The mooning shorts are just for girls - and not part of the MTR range incidentally 😉

They've not thought it through that much have they. A key pocket on the back of your baggies? Won't that interfere with your camelbak / wear a hole in your waterproof?

Not if it's just one key.

Did she pat you on the head and send you to bed with some cocoa afterwards?
😆

Thank f. Baggies that don't have a crotch almost 2ft below the waist band like Mc Hammer pants, I hope.

You say that, but there was a long old thread on here recently about people going for trail poos.
