Been trying to sell a set of Marzocchi Drop-Offs, but zero interest... wondering if there's a reason why? They have a little bit of damage/wear to the fork legs, but they're still perfectly serviceable, I think?

Waddaya reckon STW?

Could you define your idea of very cheap?

Carbon pace rigids?

You remember those bloody RC31's I had a while back? 'twas a very interesting thing to discover when I took them off the bike!

The wear on the arch is perfectly normal and caused by mud on the tyre. The "machining" on the lowers is from the brake disc bolts, most of the drop off forks suffered from this due to the extra material in the casting.

Dunno really - are they these forks?

1/3 to 1/4 of new price - taking it as 50% of new - a bit for condition?

Buy 'em folks. They are lovely, lovely forks (air preload so easily tuneable for rider weight - only sold mine to upgrade to 20mm bolt-thru - if I hadn't needed the cash I'd certainly have hung onto them. My gothic style decals looked a little worse for wear so I replaced them with some of ebay's specials - mine were 2004 Drop-Off Comps.

The steerer is extremely short, limiting your market somewhat!
I only got 60quid for a pair of almost immaculate AMIIs. Dunno if that's relevant.

Lies! The reason they aren't selling is because they are SSV damped - so theyre spiky and nasty and hence noone who knows anything about forks will ever buy them.

They're designed for jumping off things right? not so much repeated hits as one big one, or am I wrong on this?

Curtainboy, you're thinking of the newer Drop Offs which don't have a very good reputation at all. That said, I'm picking up a bargain pair of those tomorrow (bolt-thru, dual crown) so we'll see . . .

Psychle . . . don't tempt me. I'd have to buy another frame to put them on . . . and wheelset ๐Ÿ˜‰

Same fork. As are the triple clamp ones, only with a spacer to fill out the extra stanchion length! Seriously, avoid.

I have an 05 iirc set of comps and really like them although I am not getting full travel on trail riding even with air removed on the preload. However overall I think they are sound.

juiced-check the oil level as there's a fair chance they have too much in them, restricting the travel. If you refill them to the correct level you may well have the right travel

ok thanks. For the price I paid as NOS I think they're great although they are oem's.

As DezB said the steerer tube is very very short. I'd be wanting at least about 220mm
