Newish, latest Heckler.
Got a bit of creaking at the weekend. Checked out all easier stuff (seat / seatpost / hanger / BB) but nothing sorted it so had the pivot axle out tonight. Right hand side bearing graunchy as you like.
I have done less than 300 miles most of them dry apart from the dunking in the duck pond on the Dyfi Enduro big dipper section. And I don't point a hose at the bearings when cleaning it.
Is this normal?!
Ahh well. What size are the bearings? Anywhere online supply a better quality version than the ones originally fitted?
At least I bought a frame this time that even numpty like me can service I guess ๐
If your the first owner of the frame/bike im pretty sure SC give you free bearings for life..
Contact Jungle/stif.
"Santa Cruz guarantees all pivot bearings for life, on all bike models, to the original owner. They offer free replacements in exchange for proof-of-purchase AND your old bearings. This offer is retroactive for all customers with all models"
Ooooh nice one. I'll email in the morning.
Anyone know if this warranty still stands? Can't find any reference on current UK or US websites...
