My top of the range Rockshox Recons 😉 have developed play in them when you wiggle the lowers against the uppers. When I brake it vibrates like I have a very loose headset (this has been checked by the way).
Have the bushings gone and will I need complete new lowers?

Bushings are re adjustable to take up some play, if they are quite worn they can be replaced.

Mine have done that from new with recon golds ,and they have been for a warranty repair

My Recon Golds do this as well , I've had them just over two years so out of warranty. I think they just need a new seal and bush set fitted.
