I'm in.

It's worth checking back - it's the same as an EWS, you get 12 minutes to complete your registration, otherwise it resets and the places become available again.

I missed the first lot, but refreshed a couple of times, tickets became available.

Sorry just looked back. It's 8 riders per entry but you can see it getting swallowed up quickly if there's a few banging 8 on at once!

Yep and now says sold out, what a joke, last year didn't have this issue at the other booking site

In for Sunday.

Took three attempts to register six of us as it kept timing out part way into my final entry. Very annoying as it clears the form too.

Admittedly there may be better ways of doing it than on my mobile and tabbing between rider details and the entry screen though.

No option for waiting list, hopefully means there's going to be another release.

You cant blame the website or the organisation. There's been plenty of reminder emails over the last few weeks. You had 12 minutes to fill your form. This perhaps required you to get your shit together prior to 6.30am when it went live.

Was on at 6:30 but it told me they were unavailable, only one of our mates is in 😕

Have now found the silver lining in that it's an eighth of next year's Italy trip already saved 😀

Yes you can, the website couldn't handle the traffic and was buggy as hell. The organisation knew they'd have a massive spike in traffic at a specific time and failed to setup the necessary resources to deal with it, not to mention allowing people to register up to 8 riders at once.

Shitshow.

I managed to get 8 of us in for the Sunday, but only after 2 failed attempts to get all the info in within the 12 minute time limit. It was impossible! Got to rider number 6 and it binned me out. Went back in a further two times to add 4 at a time.

You cant blame the website or the organisation. There's been plenty of reminder emails over the last few weeks. You had 12 minutes to fill your form. This perhaps required you to get your shit together prior to 6.30am when it went live.

The issue was less to do with my lack of having shit together than the fact it is awkward (more so on some devices) to get the details for multiple entrants entered in the time frame but such is life. Could have done 4+2 or what ever but the liklihood then would be that we end up with different races on different days for some riders or only half with places etc.

spike in traffic at a specific time and failed to setup the necessary resources to deal with it, not to mention allowing people to register up to 8 riders at once.

That website deals with a lot of registration from a lot of events just fine, the issue is not the resourcing of the website but your clicking finger, I don't see anyone registering one or two riders complaining about the website and time frame beyond tickets (I read tickets not website) being unavailable, ie, somebody trying to register them, the reason they became available again is more than likely that the people trying to register were doing so for multiple people and timed out not website traffic.

So you could (with fast fingers) register 8 people? Why not? Some of us like to do these things with mates and would rather not manage to register to do them and then discover none of our group managed. Given they don't allow substitutions, ask for Id on sign on and don't offer refunds I imagine the number of people thinking "I'll take a punt on 8" is minimal.

think there's a lot of annoyed people that didn't get an entry for saturday, personally I found it very straight forward, I used the eventbrite app, even cocked up my bank card details and it let me re enter, clearly I had a bit of luck. Demand for Saturday is way outstripping available spaces, yet you can go on now and book 8 spaces for sunday, same distance, same runs down, same age groups, still timed just a few different rules, and not so "racey". Maybe its time the organisers think about going Mega style (without the mass start) though that may be fun. 1 event over 3 days, everyone enters the same event, qualifying on the friday over a separate timed section, and practice on the main trails, fastest riders in qualifying go onto the saturday enduro, slowest do the sporting on sunday. That way it's down to riding ability whether you get to ride on saturday and not how fast you can type, or how good your internet connection is. just a thought.

Was up at 5.45 - shit all together, half way through filling in details and the site kicked me out. That'll be my fault then.

Me and my mate were refreshing page for a straggler, which he managed to get for me, but it didn't have a box for postcode, and wouldn't let him pay without a postcode?. That'll be my fault too I suppose.

I got in no trouble only 3 of our lot made it though. With the majority riding on Sunday - I wonder if they might be a bit more flexible with swapping/transferring places this time?

I am meerly a builder, no IT genius. It would appear that my computer has all details stored and ready to go, this maybe due to the amount of shit we buy using it. After this year's race I said no matter what format I'd be entering the saturday as the day of event is more critical to me than which race it is. As there seems to be Sunday places left why it enter that as it's the same course this year?

Bollocks. Shit was in pile before hand, entries were permanently unavailable and when you did finally get in it crashed before completion - nothing to do with timing out, just buggy.

Resisted the urge to spend what would be a substantial part of a trip to Italy for a long weekend.

Will just try to ride somewhere awesome that weekend so I'm not missing out.

Oh poop. Ah well, will take another swing when the drop out tickets go on sale.

Yes, this is the first Enduro for us too. I've been looking for an informal, friendly one to do and this seemed to fit the bill

I have done, but tbh it kinda ****s up the whole weekend.

Frinstance - enter the saturday enduro, you get to practice friday, race saturday, have a party on the saturday night - and then ride sunday at a sociable/hungover pace (if you do both). Nice rounded weekend.

Enter the sunday - is friday practice available for sundayists? if so, do that, then what? hang about on the saturday? not really party on the saturday night as your only race is the sunday.

As I said, hopeful that there is another release of tickets.

Was this that has put me off the Sunday. I can't be trusted around revelling and beer so know the Sunday would be a horrible experience.

Can you just ride sunday too, if you've bought a saturday ticket??
Or would you need to buy both tickets?

Last year the Sunday ticket allowed limited practice on the Saturday. I would very much doubt you will be able to ride Sunday without a sunday entry.
I too suffer from beer envy and that is part of the reason it was Saturday or not racing for me.

No Friday practice for Sunday riders. I think I read the organisers are leading local rides out for those not racing, so Sunday racers can head out for a chilled ride the day before.

would have liked to do the saturday but got me and 8 mates in on the sunday instead. Sunday night will be a nice chilled out affair with much beer and whiskey i think.

sounds good orena45

What's wrong with having lots of beer on the Sat night and then having a big fry-up in the morning and doing the Sunday Enduro - you're obviously all getting soft!

Managed to get in on saturday with another four mates.

Looks like allowing up to 8 places was a bad idea. Plenty of folk not getting details in within that 12mins.

Should have put it the calendar, forgot about it until I was on the train - thought I'd get into work and book in. Now on the waiting list..... what are the chances?

when I entered my details it said something to the effect you are on the waiting list and we shall get back to you as soon as a place becomes available with the opportunity to book... this was only for the Sunday though

My mate got hoofed off the site trying to get four of us on. Not timed out, just buggy. I've used eventbrite for work before when we've done our own events. Has been fine, but then not 1000s of people trying to get on at the same time..
No matter, we're on for the Sunday, so am hoping for a late morning start time in order to accommodate inevitable hangover!
Last (this) yr there was practice on the Saturday for the main event because the Sport Enduro didn't ride all the stages. This obviously won't apply for 2016
