Managed to get 3 for the sprint after refreshing with a cup of tea. Glad I didn't go back to bed 🙂

In the Sprint again this year because the Saturday event sold out so quickly.

What stages does the Intro use?

It's funny people were complainting about the price yet they just sold 3000+ tickets in second.

Glad I was sat at my computer at 6:20 this morning. Myself and a couple of mates all got tickets for the Enduro Sport (which I thought was reasonably priced). Can't wait.

Flipping heck, gave it one last refresh out of frustration rather than anything else and got two tickets for the main enduro at 7:23! 😯

Both myself and a friend had browsers open and both managed to open a portal for 5 sport tickets at 6.30 on the nose, both of us got approval. no point attempting for the main event as out of the 1500 or so tickets how many are actually there for the general none affiliated public?

I had been set the task of booking 4 of us onto the sprint, basically I think there was no chance of booking 4 lots of anything and your best chance was just by booking yourself only.

At 6.31 everything was pretty much locked out. So I've booked them all onto the marathon, so at least we can join in the fun, have a decent ride still and the stay over and be silly on Saturday and heckle on Sunday!

I'll just go saturday instead of the usual friday, quiet sat night, sport then few beers up the village on sunday and take monday off, head home then.

Still a brilliant weekend, just moves it back a day doing sun instead of saturday.

Got there in the end, although in the Sport Enduro rather than the main one. Running behind on the school run now 😯

What's the marathon like?

It doesn't sound like it uses any of the Enduro sections - if it's just a marked route around public access tracks it's a lot a of money

I'm very much hoping its not this, and i imagine there will be some significant backlash if it is given the cost, but we'll see.

Anyone know whether people with the same group code but different ability ratings get put together?

On the waiting list. When do they let you now if you can get a place as I will need to organize flights and accommodation a little in advance?

Stewartc, in your situation, I'd email them given how far you'd have to travel they may even give you a wee bit of special treatment...

I'm in the marathon. Does anyone know if my entry includes a camping space. All the enduros do but the marathon only says free parking

Five pounds a night for parking, cash once you get there.

Should be fun

Was that the year we ended up drinking shots in the pub on the Friday night?
I barely made it round practice the next day!

Btw, my mate's Yeti hasn't broken yet, although he's only ridden it about half a dozen times since then 🙂

I'm into the main Enduro for the third year in a row

Three of us up trying to score an entry at 6:30am - as the only one to get a slot I bought entries on behalf of them

Agree that it did seem to go live a little bit before 6:30

I'm going to hijack this thread rather than create a new one.

Is it worth going on the Friday? I'm wanting to demo a few bikes on the demo loop and then maybe go for a bit of a ride on my own bike around the area. I don't have a ticket for the actual races at the weekend so was thinking of going up on (hopefully) the quieter day.

Is everything set up by then, or will I be there by myself in a field of traders unpacking their vans? And does it cost to enter if you don't have a ticket? I'm assuming there's a parking fee, but is there any extras I need to be aware of?

I was trying to find out what the craic is with spectators and tickets, I'm sure there was something on the website before but I can't find it now.

The future Mrs O_H_H wants to go and make a weekend out of it but I can't find out if you need spectator tickets etc?

Anyone know?

No need for spectator tickets, pay for camping like everyone else but the event itself is free.

It's a pretty big loop so not the most spectator friendly. Towards the end of stages 1 and 7 (presuming it's the same as last year's 6) are the most accessible for spectators. Stage 3 is accessible by road as well.

Enduro practice is Friday, so it starts getting busy from Thursday evening. Never looked at any demos there, so no idea if there's a better day for it.

New tyres arrived this morning along with the rear shock back from service. I should be getting very excited, but instead I'm feeling deflated after busting 3 ribs when I stacked it last week. Gutted to miss this year, done the last 4. And too late to reassign my ticket now too.
