I've been advised to try adding some arch support in my road shoes, however I wear size 50 Sidi's and there aren't many insoles big enough, I've tried the few I can find, but the ones that are long enough are all too narrow and uncomfortable (where they cup the foot just in front of the heel my foot overhangs the lip). As such I'm thinking about trying some arch support inserts, but I'm a bit worried they'll move about / be a faff when putting my shoes on, has anyone got any advise, suggestions/recommendations or good/bad experiences? Ta.
I use these in all my shoes that I walk in. any good?

Their uk size 13 is 32cm which I think would match sidi eu50. I would go for a medium thickness with metpad which looks to be out of stock at the moment, so maybe keep checking back or email them to see when they are expecting stock. If you are tight on room go for the thin.
I find these far batter than superfeet or spesh bg insoles.
Those Scholl insoles only go up to size 46 and the Sole insoles are one of the ones I've tried which were too narrow 🙁
the scholl ones being only 3/4 length might be OK? you use them as well as the insoles fitted not instead of

Ahh, I hadn't noticed that 😳
I love spesh footbeds and even have them in my daily shoes.
They go up to 49 so might just work. Best bet is to go to a spesh shop and tread on their heatmap to get the right ones (Im a blue)

Unfortunately the Specialized BG SL is another I've tried and found to be too narrow!
You could try and find a sidas dealer close to you for some custom insoles, I had a some made up about 5 years ago, although I actually prefer the sole insoles.
You could also try bont shoes, they have arch support built in.
Unfortunately both these options are going to be more expensive than some off the shelf insoles. I take it you take sidi wide fitting, I had the sole insoles in a pair of size 50 standard and they were fine.
Hello. Fellow flat-footed clown here. Size 50 with fallen arches.
I tried allsorts. Even ended up having some carbon ones made in my LBS but they just weren't strong enough to support my massive, shitty arches.
I've ended up with these cheapies from Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B009T4L2LO/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
They're great. Proper bulky but only 3/4 length. I have them in all my shoes now, cycling or otherwise.
Superfeet do a wide version of their Green insoles.
I use them (in std width & smaller size than your after) in both cycling and running shoes.
Got the last pair from Cotswold Outdoors with CTC/Cycling UK discount so not to bad for ££
